  1. I kept looking for your shadows fallen on the ground, like I was collecting evidence of your existence, to trace my being back to you.
I forgot you were a silhouette.
Love is moulded in what the lovers are made of.
    You feel different today,
Like I pulled over me the same flesh,
    With a different soul.
Here are some of my original quotes!

  2. I was indecisive and couldn’t chose only one quote of mine,
and thus here are a few:

The scars covering your bullied body,
tell your life’s stories that you would never say.
You plead for death, without even knowing the meaning of life.
Trust is vulnerability, and love is destruction.
Falling for you, was like falling from heaven, only to meet hell.

  3. I couldn’t pick just one either.

When you love someone, anyone, deeply – be they friends, lovers, or family – you gift them parts of yourself. Parts that – it seems to me – would be almost blasphemy to get back.

I know relatively little, but I know this: it doesn’t matter how many people are in your corner, if you aren’t. At the end of the day, YOU have to be your biggest cheerleader, your most devoted fan, your patient coach, and your stalwart support. You have to be on your own side.

I feel like I can’t keep myself coherent any longer. Like you were the duct tape or the glue that held on my broken pieces together. You kept me whole. And now that you’re gone, I feel as if I’m crumbling to pieces, dissolving, evaporating into the very air. To think of it another way, I feel as though I’ve lost my counterweight, and I’ve been in freefall ever since.

And I discovered that you fall out of love quite slowly, and then all at once. One day you wake up and those feelings are gone. The heartbreak is gone–for heartbreak only lasts as long as the actual love you feel does.

I feel that loss keenly, feel that severed connection like a break that’ll never stop bleeding.

People change as they grow. They might not suddenly sprout totally opposite personalities like me, but at least I’m never dull. No. I’m shadowed. Like a penumbra. My own inner luminosity has been dampened. And that’s okay.

And one day I’ll wake up and feel the truth of that. That it’s okay to be whatever this new person is. So I’m gonna take some time and get comfortable with my new personality.

After all, there is something to be said for understated luminosity. Subtle brilliance. I can be just as good if I glow instead of sparkle.

  4. Thanks so much for the fun challenge and the invitation to participate. It was fun looking for these. Here are a few from my books (D. Wallace Peach). I hope you enjoy them. 🙂

“Where do our paths lead us but on winding trails? How can we say such is valuable or wicked until we reach the end? Every choice sets a new course; every corner offers a new view. All the pain we endure, alongside the joy, shapes our lives.” – Sunwielder

“The choice to do nothing in the face of cruelty is no different than choosing cruelty itself. Every time we look away from ruthlessness, poverty, corruption, and suffering, we’re allowing these things to flourish and grow. Are we saying it doesn’t matter to us? We don’t care enough? Then cruelty crouches on our own doorsteps, and we are suddenly outraged. If a child is beaten and we don’t stop it, who are we to rail when the child grows into a violent man? If we fail to feed the hungry, are we choosing to starve them to death?” – The Dragon Soul Series

“We have always warred within ourselves, pitting love against fear. But whereas love bears an honest face, free of illusion and willing to embrace without judgment, fear by nature is deceptive, wearing the clothes of strength and protection. It cloaks itself in honor, purpose, and selfless rationale, preaching belonging at the exclusion of others. Fear manufactures enemies—the undeserving, the takers, the different and therefore dangerous. It thrives on a belief in scarcity, that there isn’t enough for all and one must hoard while rejecting the needs of others. Fear turns people into objects, life into something dispensable, love into weakness. Fear transforms men and women into beasts.” – Sorcerer’s Garden

  5. My original quote, first said by me in 2006 as a 59 y/o widow who was selling everything (house included), buying a used RV and traveling full-time.

“I refuse to sit around waiting for the perfect tomorrow, I’ll continue to work on savoring my perfectly imperfect todays.” ~ Donna B. McNicol, author, traveler, shutterbug

    My favorite quotes by others:
“How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?” — Satchel Paige

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” — Theodor Seuss Geisel

“Happiness comes through doors you didn’t even know you left open.” — unknown

I have two blogs – my writer blog and my personal blog.

  6. I’m not going to tell you everything going to be okay, because then I will be lying. What I will tell you is if you bury your head in the ground nothing will change. So get up and fight like your very life depend on it. Who knows maybe it does.
You were called for such a time as this
Its time to step out before its to late

  7. Bit late to the party, but here goes.

“I can tell you something, dear, you’ve got a lot of growing up to do. You need to pull yourself together and start doing something. Decide what you want to do with your life. Let me tell you, soon you’ll wake up and realize you’re not going anywhere. Best start making some tough choices ’cause you don’t want to be making them late. Get up off that chair and DO something.”
