Starting Up My Own Business! (And How To Get Started With Yours!)

“I am so stressed… I just have too much money!” (Said no one ever)

Are you looking for a fun way to bring in some extra cash?

Why not open a store on Etsy?

Now before you turn your nose up please know that you really don’t have to be that skilled or talented to start your own store. You… Sew? Paint? Crochet? That’s awesome! But you don’t have to know how to do any of these things to make money on Etsy.

You can use resources like Customcat or Printful to make products for you with your design and make decent profit.

One of the reasons I stopped crafting was because I didn’t have space for my creations anymore. If you’re a crafty person and love making things why not try to sell them? What’s the worse that could happen?

My Story

I started a store awhile ago with various, unthemed, random products and actually made a few sales. I wouldn’t really call it a big success but I did actually get money for my merchandise (and it was from strangers!) Whenever I made a sale I kind of expected to click on it and see it was a family member or friend that bought it out of pity but that never happened

Anyway, I’m in the process of starting up my new store and hoping to organize it and make it prettier than my previous one.

I believe you can do it!

I’m not a very social human being. I don’t have Twitter or Snapchat or anything extra besides Facebook really. Promoting is tough but not impossible. If you have connections as well as a hint of creativity you already have more than me!

(Sorry Cage… We love you)

I’ll be writing a follow up post discussing branding, copyright issues and more. I’ll also revealing my store soon so keep an eye out for that!

Thanks for reading!

If you guys start a store or already have one please post the link in the comments below so I can take peak at it (and with your permission promote it!)
