Dear Wives Of Military Men

Heys guys. Today I wanted to talk a little bit about military wives.

My husband is in the National Guard which requires him to be gone a few days each month and for a longer amount of time (usually 2-3 weeks) once a year. While to me this feels like a big deal, I realize other people’s husbands are gone much more than this. My heart breaks for the dads that miss their kids’ birthdays each year or only see their wives for pockets at a time.

“You are my favorite hello and my hardest goodbye.”

For the wife it must be so difficult (especially if they have children) to carry on with their lives without the one that they committed their life to. To wake up each day knowing their husband is doing something great but feeling so overwhelmed and alone.

This morning, while my Hubby is away for Annual Training, I really wanted to acknowledge the wives who have it much worse than I do.

You’re awesome.

You’re doing great.

Keep on keeping on.

Thanks for reading!
