When Sickness Strikes The Household

Greetings, readers! I hope everyone is having a relatively good day. What’s considered ‘relatively’ you may ask? If you got more than three hours of sleep, you’re not covered in baby snot and you haven’t asked your significant other to beat your head in with a hammer than you’re off to a good start!

Yesterday my 16 month old’s nose started running and I naively thought it was allergies. About 3 hours later the sickness struck and it struck hard. Rosalie was screaming her head off rubbing her face on her play pen. Snot was EVERYWHERE. Even my little man had the sniffles.

Sitting in my daughter’s playpen well past her bedtime I felt a pain in my throat.

It was coming for me too.

I’m going to be honest…

There are few things in this life worse than being terribly sick and also having terribly sick children. All you want to do is lay around in your pjs and binge watch tv but you can’t. You are STILL on mom duty.

Not only that but you’re kids are acting extra well… extra and it’s not even their fault.

When they’re little you don’t know exactly what’s wrong with them because they can’t tell you so that makes it more difficult.

Sadly I don’t have much advice to give on this subject but I just wanted to give a shout out to the sick mommy’s out there! Just remember no cold lasts forever (even though some feel like it)

(On the bright side my daughter snuggled with me for a good half hour which NEVER happens.)

Thanks for reading!
